About this course
Build your own website while learning the basics of Java Script! Students dive into web-design principles, user interface (UI), and user experience (UX), while acquiring the fundamentals of Java Script, one of the web’s core languages.
Participants put their knowledge into practice by building a personalized website on Wix, incorporating text, images, audio, videos, hyperlinks, and more.

- Students are guided through a four-phase approach to website creation, culminating in the a website built on Wix.com
- Phase 1 Discovery: Define website purpose, goals, and target audience
- Phase 2 Planning: Sitemap, website structure, and technologies used
- Phase 3 Design: Chose a visual style, work on usability, learn about user interface and use experience (UX/UI)
- Phase 4 Content: Text, photos, videos, SEO
- In addition to working on Wix, interested students are guided to the use of Java Script to enhance and refine their websites.
- There are no specific prerequisites for this course.Â
- Students learn in small groups and then apply the learning individually. Each student builds their own website project on Wix.com, with TechSpark Academy instructors coaching them.
- Our Web Design course typically includes a couple of blocky on Java Script, participation to which is optional. For those not wishing to dive into the use of code, they can continue to refine their website on wix.com, a platform for creating HTML5 websites with drag and drop functions.
